Ronan established Ronan MacDiarmada & Associates Ltd in August 2001. Over the past twenty years RMDA Ltd has grown into the vibrant practice it is today.
Our tight-knit cheerful team are passionate and enthusiastic. We come together with a variety of backgrounds and range of interests giving our practice an atmosphere that is enjoyable to work in and pleasant for clients to interact with.
Our landscape services include concept design and design development, tender and construction documentation, construction supervision, post construction services and environmental analysis. We are experienced across Landscape Master Planning, Public Realm, Commercial, Residential and Institutional projects in the healthcare and educational fields.
We believe landscape planning is most successful when it is integrated into the design plan from the start. We enjoy considering the most suitable materials and planting for the landscape area. Sustainability is a very important aspect for us, so we always endeavour to use existing hedgerows and trees or aspects of the native landscape. We were the first Landscape Architect Practice in Ireland to sign up to the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan as biodiversity and sustainability have always been one of Ronan’s core principles.
Many of our clients are with us from the early days … we appreciate their confidence in us to fulfil their vision and achieve planning for their project. We never underestimate their repeat business. We enjoy collaborating with our clients and other multidisciplinary team members to produce exceptional landscapes. Over the years we have encountered the many different hitches that can arise with a site plan and we have a wide network of trusted consultants we can call upon for advice from arborists to ecologists to landscape quantity surveyors.
RMDA Ltd are excited about the future. We will continue to work within the frameworks set out by the local authorities as they focus on preserving the quality of the landscape and open spaces. We will continue to add value to the projects we are involved in as we collectively work towards greener cities and towns.
